ANATOMY
Understanding structure. Building the foundation for clinical medicine.
A strong anatomical foundation enables learners to connect the organisation of the humanbody with normal function, disease processes, diagnosis and patient care.
The Department of Anatomy at SBR Institute of Medical Sciences is designed to provide a strong foundation for understanding the structure and organisation of the human body. The academic programme covers gross anatomy, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy and applied anatomy.
Foundation for Medical Learning
Students develop an understanding of body structures and their relationship with normal function and disease processes through structured anatomical learning.
Learning Through Observation & Exploration
Teaching combines interactive lectures, guided cadaveric dissection, specimens, anatomical models, microscopic study, medical imaging and digital learning resources.
Anatomy in Clinical Context
Anatomical concepts are connected with surgery, radiology, physical examination and patient care while maintaining disciplined laboratory practices and professional conduct.
Key Highlights
Comprehensive Academic Coverage
Structured learning in gross anatomy, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy and clinically applied anatomy.
Practical Learning Environment
Hands-on exposure through cadaveric dissection, specimens, models, microscopic slides and other anatomical teaching resources.
Clinical Correlation
Anatomical concepts are linked with medical imaging, surgical procedures, physical examination and common clinical conditions.
Integrated Teaching Approach
A balanced combination of classroom instruction, laboratory learning, visual resources and interactive academic sessions.
Foundation for Medical Practice
Develops core knowledge, observational ability, professional discipline and spatial understanding required across medical specialties.
